Government to protect more species of Corals

According to the sources, the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration has taken this step in order to avoid any threats to the marine life species. These species have been badly affected due to global warming. Some of the varieties of these corals include; pillar coral, lobed star coral, rough cactus coral, boulder star coral and mountainous star coral.

The officials are yet to conclude on the measures, that would be taken, in order to start this project of protection. However, they  are planning to make a project, that would prevent the bigger amount of sand from accumulating in the ocean, which helps to smoothen the existing corals.

By taking this step, the channel of Port Everglades will be deepened, so as to create more corals in compensation of the old that would be lost due to global warming.

In addition to the above, the federal government will be focusing on protecting the other marine species too. The steps such as the increase in the number of species, raising them in protected nurseries and thus, planting them in the respective reefs.

The officials have expressed that it is not only the marine life that will be hampered, but this is a wake up call for the biggest dangers of global warming that are yet to arrive.
