Myanmar initially known as Burma, is a state bordered by Thailand, China, Laos, Bangladesh and India. The state has been through many political experiences that include its constitution ruled by military rulers on one side and elected members in the elections on the other side.
Thein Sein is the current President, elected as the head of the state. Politically, the foreign relations of Burma had strained experiences since the elections of 2010. However, due to continuous efforts of military sanctions and diplomatic isolation, finally the state has started receiving support on foreign aid and trades. The areas that have set aside the curbs are mainly from some of the European and U.S. companies.
Thein Sein is the first president of Myanmar to have visited the White House in the United States in 47 years. President Obama praised this effort by Myanmar President and assured Thein to cease the tensions and concerns between the Myanmar and U.S. relations.
This effort by Thein has not been limited to the United States. After the assurance of President Obama to end the conflict between these two nations, presently Myanmar is in the news and media to set another example of friendship with China.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi of China, met few representatives of Myanmar’s lower house last week. Wang feels happy to state that Myanmar’s Parliament speaker – U Shwe Mann has always been positive in eliminating any conflicts between Myanmar and China. Mann is an old friend of Wang and he hopes to remain in the close connectivity of this friendship.
Due to the development in the economy and the technology, it is important for the Asian countries to stay together and face the competition. By building faith and trust in each other, these nations will help to prepare themselves for any future difficulties.
As per the statement of U Shwe Mann, he praised China for being a good neighbor and friend to his state, which has helped Myanmar during their tough times. Mann also stated; that they have not forgotten the helping hand of China and in return, promise them to be there in need of any moral or financial support.
Both the ministers truly believe that this negotiation and friendship will be beneficial for trades, business, employment and the overall economy. Other countries such as India and Bangladesh, are also looking to bridge the closeness with Myanmar.
This meet is a symbol of true friendship and the other nations must learn in the name of Unity and Peace throughout the globe.
