Australian coastal plains discover new shapes of mushrooms

A recent discovery of mushroom like creatures were formed under the sea, which was discovered by Scientists in Australia.  According to the scientist, such a thing  never existed, even in the subdivisions of the animal kingdom.

The study states that these shapes did not originate overnight, but must have taken at least a 100 years to form a shape. The samples of these have been collected by the scientists, to further study and make  conclusions. According to Co-author – Jorgen Olesen; “Finding something like this is extremely rare, it’s maybe only happened about four times in the last 100 years. We think it belongs in the animal kingdom somewhere; the question is where. What we can say about these organisms is that they do not belong with the bilateria,”

Separate pictures have been collected and study is continuing, to understand their traits and give them a proper name. The researchers and scientists believe that these animals could be  a very old branch on the tree of life. These grow within the same roots like plants and ultimately, take their shape.
