Honda has recently announced in the media, about the making of a Honda’s now self driven car, which will take you to a test drive, without you actually drive it. The automakers are already engrossed in the promotion of this self-driving prototype.
The name of the car is the Acura RLX Sedan was taking a self test drive in the Detroit area last Tuesday. The route included the entry and exit of the freeway. Below are the features of the car:
Though the car is a prototype at the moment, Honda is confident to make similar technology in all its cars by 2020. The car’s laser beams and multiple radar sensors, helps to scan the car’s surroundings, and the GPS facility, helps the car to drive, as per the mapped route, thereby maintaining the car’s speed.
While the car is driving, the driver is supposed to keep his hands off the wheel, during the entire eight-mile loop. However, one major feature is that the car will automatically give its control to the driver, if it thinks it is unable to handle a situation.
