Lack of proper sleep affects your kid’s progress

The medical science states that teens and kids must have a sound sleep of at least seven hours at night. A survey was conducted to know the difference and it was observed that the teens who sleep for less than seven hours at night, are academically weaker, compared to the kids who have a sound sleep of at least 7 hours per night.

It is quite natural that a kid would tend to be sleepy during the lectures if he has a disturbed or short sleep pattern at nights. One of the researchers – Christian Benedict commented by saying; “Another important finding of our study is that around 30 per cent of the adolescents reported regular sleep problems. Similar observations have been made in other adolescent cohorts, indicating that sleep problems among adolescents have reached an epidemic level in our modern societies.”
