The death of thousands of fish stunned the city of Mexico

The view of the disastrous death of nearly 50 tons of popoche chub fish, marine species have become the latest concern in the Mexican city. The citizens are in sheer Mourne and disappointment of this loss. The dead species were removed recently, from Lake Cajititlán, which is located in the central state of Jalisco.

The fishermen took help from firefighters, town hall workers and staff from the agricultural ministry to remove the dead species floating in the lake. The fish were collected and buried in a pit.

According to the sources, it is noted that the fishermen had already raised this concern initially, about the life threat of these marine animals, due to climate changes and decrease in the level of oxygen.

One of the reporters – Victor Hugo Ornelas said; “It is obvious that there are many sources of pollution around the lake,” Ornelas said. “Fertilizer runoff in a particularly heavy rainy season could be the straw that is breaking the camel’s back. After that they died, lots and lots have died this year.”
