A Mediterranean diet, prepared in olive oil is the best way to get back in shape

Junk foods and oily foods, are the carriers of diseases such as; high blood pressure, obesity, cholesterol, cancer, an increase in glucose levels and heart disorders. About 40% of adults approx., are suffering from Metabolic syndrome.

Metabolic syndrome is risk involved that may cause diseases as explained above. The most common problem in the United States is the Obesity. This also leads to behavioral problems such as; irritability, frustration, anxiety, mood swings and depression.

According to the health experts, one must first concentrate on the intake of food, rather than concentrating on the exercises. A Mediterranean diet involves lots of fruits, veggies and nuts, which have proven health benefits.

The researchers also stated; “Mediterranean diets supplemented with olive oil or nuts were not associated with a reduced incidence of metabolic syndrome compared with a low-fat diet; however, both diets were associated with a significant rate of reversion of metabolic syndrome. Such diets may be useful in reducing central obesity and hyperglycemia in patients with high risk of cardiovascular disease.”
