While marching for a research along the Guyana rainforest, a scientist heard some strange sounds and rustling. He related and assumed it to be a furry mammal. To the shock of his eyes, he saw a huge spider named as; Goliath Birdeater spider.
Goliath is the world’s largest spider species, as stated in the Guiness Book of World Records. The weight of this spider can read up to 6 ounces. The scientist named – Piotr Naskrecki, who have felt this existence, stated in one of his comments that the spider weighed as much as a young puppy.
Piotr confirmed that these species will not kill or harm, but, its bite feels like nail diving through your hand. According to the Science Journals, the spider is neither very common or prominent, nor harmful to humans.
The scientist did mention his findings about the spider’s eating habits; “Rather, they seem to be feeding on what is available in this moist and warm habitat, and what is available is earthworms — lots of them.”
More studies are required to know the characteristic traits of these spider species, in order to understand them better.
