Boko Haram militants have come forward with their first such violence in the Ngouboua village which is on the shore of lake Chad, contributing the most military might to the regional fight against the Nigeria based terror group. Five people have lost their lives in this attack including the village chief and one soldier. Four troops were wounded.
According to the witnesses Boko Haram militants had crossed the Lake Chad in three motorized canoes for attacking in the early morning. They fired to parts of the village. Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Cameroon and Berlin aim to create a regional force of 8,700 troops to combat Boko Haram.
Boko Haram`s bloodshed has forced around 157,000 people to look for refuge in Niger, while 40,000 others have gone to Cameroon and 17,0 are in Chad, the U.N. said. According to the country`s own statistics, almost 1 million Nigerians are internally relegate.
To fight against Boko Haram a forthcoming multinational force is expecting to be launched in upcoming days.
A Presidential election which was about to held on 14th February has been postpone for six weeks due to the security threat of Boko Haram.
