11 Pakistani Taliban in Afghanistan Lost Their Lives in US Drone Strikes

According to the intelligence officials said on Wednesday, at least 11 Pakistani Taliban militants were put to death in a US drone strike. Among the dead are, two Haqqani network commanders and six TTP militants. Hours after a strike nine militants lost their lives in the same area.

The drone attack on Tuesday took place in Kunar province, situated near the site of fierce fighting on the Pakistan side of the border.

As per a Pakistani security official, “The strike took place when an important meeting of militants was in progress and a car bomb was being prepared for some suicide attacks.”

The strike was been confirmed by a NATO spokesman in Kabul and so was carried out on Monday.

Fighters jet have been striking the positions in the Tirah valley which is situated in Pakistan`s Khyber region and it was said by the military that they have put to death several militants. At least seven soldiers had also lost their lives.

Earlier on Tuesday, in a drone strike at least nine militants lost their lives. The attack took place in the Nazyan area of Afghanistan`s Nangarhar province, to the south of Kunar. As per the intelligence officers, they all belonged to the Pakistani Taliban and Lashkar-e-Islam.
