Two Bomb Blasts at Churches in Pakistan Killed 14 and 78 Injured

Two packed churches were been blasted by the two Taliban suicide bombers on Sunday 15th march. The attack occurred during the Sunday mass the biggest Christian colony in Pakistan. In these attacks 15 people had lost their lives and more than 80 people were badly injured. These attacks are said to be the worst attacks on the minority community.

As per the Geo TV which is one of the channel of the Pakistan television station reported that the attacker was not been allowed to enter the gate of one of the churches by the police guard. The guard was killed as the device was detonated by the suspect. Mthe second blasrt occurred inside the church.


A 12 year old boy and two security guards were included among the dead at the Roman Catholic Church and Christ Church in the eastern city of Lahore.

The responsibility for both of these attacks had been claimed by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan`s splinter group Jamatu-ul-Ahrar.

One of the witness Amir Masih told Pakistan Today, “I was sitting at a shop near the church when a blast jolted the area and I rushed towards the spot and saw the security guard scuffle with a man who was trying to enter the church, after failing he blew himself up and I saw his body parts flying through the air.”
