At Least 30 People Lost Their Lives in a Suicide Bomber and Rocket Grenades Attack in Maiduguri City

According to the officials, at least 25 people had lost their lives when a suspected suicide bomber detonated himself up inside a mosque in Nigeria`s Maiduguri city on Saturday afternoon. The attack came after the night time attack by the Boko Haram extremists on the outskirts.

The attack took place a day after the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari, who swore to tackle the Islamist militant group and move the command centre for the military operations away from the capital Abuja to Maiduguri.

As per the military source, a male suicide bomber suspected to be Boko Haram is believed to have been entered a mosque near the market and blew himself.

As said by the sources in hospital, not less than 30 people have been injured in this attack.

According to the Modu Fugu of Civilian Joint Task Force said, “We were terrified by the loud explosion that rocked the mosque near bicycle sellers market and other shops when the prayer session was cut and worshippers fled t safety, but many were killed and scores injured.”

Also as said by the military source that a rocket launcher from Boko Haram hit a house near the area of Bulumkutu and at least five people had been put to death.
