According to the reporters, it was announced by the Pakistan`s interior minister on Wednesday, a breakthrough in the case of the last week`s attack on bus in which 47 minority Shiite Muslims had lost their lives, saying that the suspected mastermind have been detained by the police and several other gunmen were also been arrested by the police who were involved in the assault.
The announcement by Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan came just hours after the army said that they have put to death 13 militants in the airstrikes in a tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
The responsibility for the attack on May 13 assault had been claimed by both a Pakistani militant group linked to the Islamic State, which is fighting in Iraq and Syria, and a Pakistani Taliban splinter group.
Earlier on Wednesday, as said by the military, it had put to death 13 militants in the latest airstrikes which took place near the Datta Khel village in North Waziristan where a major operation had been carried out by the army against the local and foreign militants since last June.
As the tribal areas of Pakistan are off limits to journalists, they could not provide the further details on the identity of the suspected militants.
