2 People Lost Their Lives and Six Injured In Suicide Bomb Blast in Pakistan

According to the officials, a senior police officer was been targeted by a Taliban suicide bomber in north west Pakistan on Thursday, in which at least two policemen had lost their lives and also five other people had been wounded.

The deputy commandant of the Frontier Reserve Police (FRP), Malik Tariq had been seriously injured in this attack which took place in Peshawar, which is the capital of troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

At the scene, a senior police officer, Mian Saeed told the reporters that the suicide bomber was on his motorbike and he rash it into the vehicle of Malik Tariq who was on his way to his office. He also said that one policeman died at the spot and the other lost his life due to his injuries, whereas other four officers had been injured.

According to Rana Umar Hayat, another senior police officer said that the vehicle had been destroyed in the blast and had also injured the two passersby.

As per the statement on the group`s website, the responsibility for this attack had been claimed by a spokesman for the Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
