25 Men Been Executed By the Islamic State in Palmyra

According to the reporters, a video showing 25 Syrian government soldiers being executed by the teenagers in the ancient amphitheater in the city of Palmyra had been released on Saturday by the Islamic State group.

It was said by the Islamic State that the soldiers had been captured in the city of Homs and they had been shot and put to death inside Palmyra`s amphitheater.

The video showed that the murderer are to be young men and are in the age between 13-15 years.

The site and the neighboring city of Palmyra had been seized by the Islamic State in late May.

The account through which the video had been distributed is known to be linked with Islamic State militants.

They executed the soldiers on the stage at the front of the amphitheatre in front of a large black Islamic State flag.

One of the images showed hundreds of men and some children in civilian clothes who were sitting on the seats of the ancient theatre and watched the shootings.

The Islamic State had also executed 20 men in the same amphitheatre, few days after Islamic State claimed Palmyra.

According to the UK based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the civilians near the site had been rounded up and had been forced to watch the killings.
