According to a local resident and a member of the militi day they said today that at least 11 Boko Haram militants and three militia fighters had lost their lives in a clash in a village in north eastern Nigeria.
The clash came after the Nigeria`s military spokesman told AFP about a new regional force tasked with fighting the jihadists should go into action very soon, but he did not specify when due to tactical reasons.
As per Markus Yohana, a local militia member fighting the Islamist in Dille in Borno State, north eastern Nigeria, their village had been attacked by the Boko Haram gunmen. They came on Monday afternoon around 2:00 pm on motor cycles and launched the attack.
H also said that they put to death three vigilantes and seized a car. The raiders had been ambushed by the soldiers as they tried to escape, and 11 ohem had been put to death.
Nigeria1s military spokesman Major General Chris Qlukolade said, “The mission had been sectorised, various sector commanders have been briefed, the briefing is ongoing at different levels…the aspect of the Nigerian force that will be part of the Multinational Joint Task Force has been designated.”
