At Least 14 Kenyan Workers Put To Death in an Attack by the Al Shabaab Gunmen

According to the police, at least 14 had lost their lives in an attack which had been carried out by the Al Shabaab terrorist group. Also 11 others had been injured in this attack. The attack took place near the northern Kenyan town of Mandera, which is next to the border of Somali.

The Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet had confirmed on Twitter, the attack by Al Shabaab in Mandera early this morning.

The attack occurred at around 2:00 am in village of Soko Mbuzi, the sleeping residents had been attacked by the group of armed men.

As many of the residents had been sleeping outside their houses, because of heat, several homes had been bombed by the terrorists before they launch fire.

An air evacuation is being prepared by the Red Cross for the most of the critical cases which are to be treated in the capital and the injured had been taken to the hospital in Mandera.

The responsibility for this attack had been claimed by the Al Shabaab.

According to the statement given by the Interior Minister Joseph Nkaisserry, “This attack is a clear reminder that Al Shabaab and its collaborators are determined to disrupt and subvert our way of life.”
