At Least 44 People Lost Their Lives and 67 Injured In the Bomb Blast At Central Nigeria Mosque

According to an emergency official said, not less than 44 people had lost their lives when the two bombs exploded at a crowded mosque and an elite Muslim restaurant in the central Nigerian city of Jos.

The responsibility for these blasts had not been claimed by anyone, but the Nigerian Islamic extremist group, Boko Haram is been blamed by the people. Boko Haram had exploded bombs in the past that had put to dead hundred in Jos.

According to Abdussalam Mohammad, an official of the National Emergency Management Agency, 67 other people had also been wounded in the attacks and are been treated in the hospitals.

As per the witnesses who had requested for the anonymity in fear of reprisals said that the explosion at Yantaya Mosque took place as a leading cleric who preaches peaceful co existence had been addressing the crowd at the time of Holy month of Ramadan.

Another bomb had been exploded in a restaurant patronized by the elite politician at Shagalinku.

The witnesses said that they do not have any confirmation of how many people had lost their lives.
