2 Engineers Lost Their Lives in an Attack at Small Pakistani Airport

According to the reporters, at least two engineers had lost their lives in an attack by a gunman in a small Pakistani airport which is located in troubled south western Pakistan. Also the facility`s radar system was also been destroyed in the attack.

The responsibility for the attack had not been claimed by any of the group. The attack took place in Jewani airport which is located in Balochistan province. As per the authorities, Balochistan is battling separatist extremists as well as various other militants.

According to a provincial government spokesman Jan Muhammad Buledi, the gunmen came in to the control room at about 3:30 a.m. and set it on fire,

He added that one man was put to death, one was injured and a third engineer was kidnapped.

Later, on Sunday afternoon, the body of the kidnapped engineer was found in nearby mountains.

There has been no flight service running to Jewani airport since Pakistan International Airlines, the state carrier, suspended service many years ago.

The maintenance of the airport`s radar and navigational systems have been continued by the staff of civil aviation workers.
