At Least 12 People Lost Their Lives in the Bomb Blasts in Nigeria

According to the reporters, not less than 12 people had lost their lives in the bomb blast that took place at a camp in the north eastern Nigeria for the people who had fled their homes due to the insurgency of the Boko Haram Islamist.

As told to AFP by the emergency services that the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device.

The bomb blast took place at the Malkohi camp for internally displaced persons on the edges of Yola in Adamawa state.

As per the reports, not less than 1,000 children are there in the camp.

The responsibility for the bombings had not been immediately claimed by any of the group.

It is said to be the first attack on such a target in the assault.

According to the statement given by, a spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, Sani Datti, “Among the injured, seven were treated and discharged while 13 persons including four officials of National Emergency Management Agency are still receiving treatment.”

He added that the bomb was kept in a tent and it detonated at around 10:50 am.

The attack was been condemned by the President Muhammadu Buhari.
