According to the Egypt`s state news agency MENA, at least two people got injured in a bomb blast which occurred in a middle class neighborhood of Cairo.
The explosion took place on Sunday near the building with administrative offices for Egypt`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and caused minor damage to the structure. A video released by the Associated Press shows the busy street littered with broken glasses and rubble everywhere after the explosion.
According to the Ministry of Health, two of them who were injured were taken to the hospital, but give no information about their conditions.
The responsibility for the attack had not been immediately claimed by any of the group.
Many police officers and soldiers had lost their lives in a jihadist insurgency since the Egyptian army`s 2013 overthrow of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi.
As per the reports, on August 20, at least 29 people including six policemen had been lightly injured in an ISIS car bomb attack on a police building in northern Cairo.
Bombings had also been carried out by the jihadists affiliated with the Islamic State group. Most of the attacks have also been carried out bombings in the capital.
