According to the Egyptian security officials, at least nine militants had been put to death by the police forces after a heavy exchange of fire in a rural area outside Cairo.
As said by the source, the nine militants were put to death in a shootout with security forces during a raid. The raid took place in a house in the town of Aussem, a farming area about 5 kilometers (3 miles) from the Egyptian capital.
As per the source, during the raid, a cache of weapons and explosives had been captured.
The source spoke on condition of anonymity as they are not permitted to talk to the reporters.
Previous week, as noted by the London based Human Rights Monitor that not less than 79 civilians had lost their lives in Egypt last month in extrajudicial killings.
According to the reports, among the dead in the raid was Nasser al Hafi who is a prominent lawyer for the Brotherhood and a former lawmaker. As per the Egypt`s Interior Ministry said, 13 men are said to be plotting the attacks.
Hundreds at the Cairo protest camp were put to death by the security forces and thousands of others had been detained by the security forces.
