Rebels in Yemen Been Hit By Coalition

According to the reporters, with heavy artillery fire on the edges of the central city of Marib, the Saudi led coalition targeting Yemen`s Shiite rebels pounded the insurgents` position on Thursday, as a part of their push to capture the capital, Sanaa.

The attack took place hours after  the rebels, known as Houthis, aired footage on their satellite television channel in purpose to show a Saudi soldier held as a prisoner of war.

At the time, the campaign against the Houthis were been praised by a top al Qaida leader in Yemen, and called for Islamic rule in the Arab world`s poorest country.

Artillery fire had been rumbled across the Marib, but due to the nearby conflict, the residents among which most of them carried Kalashnikov assault rifles, appeared to be unstirred.

All the shops down town were open for the business, for buying qat leaves, the residents had been crowded in a market. Qat leaves are a mild narcotic which is widely consumed in Yemen.

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, head of the Emirates armed forces vowed that, “These events will only make us more steadfast in our stand for justice.”
