At Lea 15 Sudanese Migrants Lost Their Lives At Egypt – Israel Border, Officials Say

According to the reporters, not less than 15 Sudanese migrants had lost their lives at the border early Sunday, when they were trying to cross from Egypt into Israel. There is a possibility that they had been put to death by the Egyptian police officers, as said by the security officials and news reports.

As per the security and hospital officials, eight other migrants had been injured.

According to the officials, the additional migrants who were unhurt had been detained by the Egyptians security forces and are under interrogation.

As said by the officials, most of those who were injured had been in critical condition as they suffered injuries to the chest and stomach.

According to the Israel`s Interior Ministry, not less than 45,000 African migrants and asylum seekers, which includes several Sudanese, are in Israel.

Many of them said that they had been fleeing conflict and persecution and are seeking refugee status.
