According to the reporters, not less than ten fellow officers had been put to death bya policeman suspected to have links to the Taliban on Tuesday in the central province of Uruzgan, as said by the officials in Afghanistan.
As per the spokesman for the provincial governor, the colleagues had been drugged by poisoning their food by the rogue policeman before shooting them and putting to death.
As told by the district chief Faiz Mohammad to the Reuters, that the attack which is the latest in a long series of so called insider attacks took place at a checkpoint in the Chenartu district of the volatile southern province of Uruzgan.
He added that the security officers are searching for the policeman and the presumed Taliban insurgents who joined him in the shooting and putting to death his colleagues in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to Faiz Mohammad, the weapons of the dead policemen were been stole by the policeman and the Taliban allies and they also burnt the checkpoint and a police vehicle.
As reported, the responsibility for the attack had not been claimed by the Taliban.
