At Least 4 People Lost Their Lives in Saudi Arabia Mosque Attack

According to the reporters, not less than 4 people had lost their lives when a suicide bomber blewup and another attacker carried out fire outside a Shiite mosque in the predominantly Sunni kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Friday. Also at least seven people had been injured, as reported by the state run Saudi Press Agency.

both the attackers had been faced off by the security forces as they headed towards the Imam Ridha mosque in the town of Mahasen, in the eastern Saudi Arabia`s al Ahsa region in Eastern Province, where worshippers had been holding their Friday prayers, as reported by the press agency.

The gunman had been detained by the security forces and he was wearing a vest with explosives, the agency reported.

The images of the scene which had been posted to social media showed several dead bodies on the ground.

This attack is said to be the fourth deadly attack on a Shiite mosque in Saudi Arabia, a kingdom where not less than 85% to 90% of the citizens are Sunni, since May.

The responsibility for the deadly attack had not yet been claimed by any of the group.
