According to the reporters, not less than three foreigners has lost their lives and two more have been missing after the speed boat capsized in the southern Thailand in the evening of Thursday.
As reported, the boast which was capsized had been carrying 32 passengers and four crew members and was traveling to Koh Samui from Anghong Island when the incident took place.
As per to the reports given by the Bangkok Post, the two victims had been identified as Monica Cozma, 28, and Kafo Franeiska, 29. They were said to be from Britain and Germany. The men from Britain and Hong Kong remain unaccounted for.
The reason behind the capsizing of boat throwing the passengers overboard was the strong winds and high waves, as said by the port official, Pichet Sudduan. Few of them were trapped under the vessel.
As told by a spokesman to the Press Association, according to the BBC, the bodies of the two women have been taken out from the sea.
As said by the British Foreign Office, “Another British national has received treatment in hospital for injuries suffered in the same incident. We remain in contact with local authorities in Thailand for further information.”
